The glass snake is an slender lizard sometime known as the Blindworm, found in the southern part of the United States and Europe. Brown on its, back and yellow on the under side, it is notable for its lack of legs. It has strong teeth, ear openings, and well-developed eyelids. It receives its name from the brittleness of its tail, which is about twice as long as its body. The glass snake feeds on insects, worms and slugs.
