The
garden warbler is a small bird belonging to the family
Sylviidae. The garden warbler,
Sylvia borin, spends the summer in Europe and western Asia; in the winter it migrates to tropical Africa. The common name is misleading, for the bird is most often found in woods or bushy areas, where it feeds upon insects and berries. The birds are smaller than sparrows, have weak, short, slender bills, and short wings. The upper parts of the garden warbler are olive brown and the underside is cream colored.
