James Douglas Morrison, better known as Jim Morrison, was born on December 8, 1943 in Melbourne, Florida. Son of a marine officer, since his teenage years left the University of Los Angeles to form, along with Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robbie Krieger and drummer John Densmore the rock band "The Doors".His first appearances were at Whiskey A Go-Go. Poet and exhibitionist defined by himself as the poet of chaos his shows were plagued with scandal and eroticism.
Several times Jim Morrison was imprisoned for performing nude or trying to masturbate in the middle of the stage. The lyrics of his songs were characterized by their boldness and above all, their eroticism.
In 1967, the first album of "The Doors" was released. The song "The End" made the group and Morrison an obligatory reference in the Underground of Los Angeles.

In 1971 the psychedelic rock myth retired to live in Paris with his wife Pamela Courson, who shortly after would find him dead in the bathtub of his home victim of a heart attack. The official opinion stated that Jim Morrison's death had occurred due to a drug overdose.
