How do you raise a helicopter?
The astonishing manoeuvrability of a helicopter is attributed to its main rotor, the large horizontal propeller that rotates in the upper part of its body. The rotor blades are like wings. By simply changing its angle, a pilot can go in any direction or even float or stand still.
If the pilot wants to go up or down, or stand still in one place, he has to keep all the propellers at the same angle. But if you want to go forward or backward or turn completely, what you do is tilt the rotor in the corresponding direction.
The ancient Chinese made flying toys, specifically a kind of "flying spinning top" that traveled through the air like a helicopter, with propellers made of feathers!
